The
Hyundai Verna seems to have always been popular amongst the others, but the car has outshone its class in the segment, with the launch of the all new fluidic version. It came up with a bigger car experience for the customers and making it more luxurious than any other vehicle in its segment.
The vehicle is intrinsically more rigid and involves an increased use of high strength steel. The platform boosts the overall structural integrity and safety of the sedan. The new model also gets a design overhaul, though it still obediently follows the Fluidic 2.0 Design language.
Also, while there are clearly identifiable elements from the Elantra in the new Verna, it still refers back to the lines of the outgoing Verna model. The large signature bonnet grille with chrome slats now adopts a variation in design internally called the Cascade design. The curved headlamps, the tail-lamps with the signature LEDs have been inspired by the Elantra, but reinterpreted in the Verna.
Performance of the car.
The new Verna gets updated versions of the same petrol and diesel engines that were offered in the outgoing model. The 1.6-litre Dual VTVT petrol engine now offers 123 PS of peak power. This petrol engine is now paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a new torque converter six-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine is the 1.6-litre U2 CRDi mill. This engine now produces 128 PS of peak power and is available in both Manual and automatic transmission.
In addition to the performance the Verna gets a more premium look with the new LED DRL’s, the new 16 inch alloys and the LED tail lamps. Even the Verna has new improved interiors.
Features
With all these features and the feeling of luxury, the Verna is still popular and ruling the Indian market today. These days the young generation also looks for more luxury and comfort in an affordable price. Though Verna is still on the higher side in terms of cost but people are ready to pay a little extra when it comes to comfort and the feel of a luxurious Sedan.
Segment
There is altogether a different segment today which doesn’t look for more fuel efficiency rather they prefer to go with a car which are more stylish and outperform in their own segment. When compared to cars like Maruti Ciaz and Honda City, these cars are more fuel efficient than the Hyundai Verna but when you take a look at all the three at once, you would only experience luxury in the Verna. No matter what, looks do matter when it comes to selecting a car also.
The Hyundai Verna still remains the favorite of the young generation and also the business class. People who cannot afford to buy a Mercedes or a BMW prefer to have a Hyundai Verna at home, as it does give a feeling a luxury even today.
