This EV has three charging options to ensure that you never run out of battery power. It includes an AC wall box charger, a portable charger and a DC quick charger. The first charging option is the 7.2 kW AC Wall Box Charger which is a wall-mounted charger that is generally installed at home or office for faster charging. It takes approximately 6 hours and 10 minutes to fully charge the battery, whereas the 2.8 kW portable charger takes approximately 19 hours. The third option is the DC Quick Charger CCS Type 2 50 kW KONA Electric, which can be charged at DC fast charging stations. It only takes about an hour to charge your vehicle to 80% capacity.
Performance:
Hyundai has taken vehicle performance to the next level with the Kona Electric by providing a unique method to modulate the power released by the motor using the vehicle’s different driving modes. The ECO mode ensures that you save as much battery as possible for long drives, while the COMFORT mode is perfect for everyday commutes since it has a relaxed throttle response. The third and final mode will be the SPORT mode, which increases the response of everything, including driver engagement.
Safety Features:
It has some of the most intriguing safety features to protect not just the passengers but the vehicle too. For instance, when the vehicle is in motion, the Virtual Engine Sound System or VESS will generate an engine sound to ensure pedestrian safety. Other safety features in the Kona Electric include the Seat Belt Pretensioners for both passengers & drivers, Rear Defogger with timer, Six Airbags, Immobilizer, ISOFIX, Central locking, Rear Fog Lamps, Automatic Headlamps and many more.
Electric Gearbox:

The all-new Kona Electric SUV comes equipped with an incomparable lithium-ion polymer battery that will provide enhanced performance. Its powertrain consists of a 39.2kWh battery pack coupled to an electric motor with a power output of 136PS and 395Nm and a torque of 40.27kgm.
